Abstract :

This research aimed to measure the reproductive efficiency of Limousin and Simmental cross resulted from AI in Ngoro Jombang during 2012 through defining Conception Rates (CR), Service per Conception (S/C), Calving Rate (CVR), Days open (DO), Calving Interval (CI) and Fertility Status (FS). Secondary data was obtained from inseminator’s reproduction records of 50 Limousin cross cows and 50 Simmental cross cows. Data was analyzed using unpaired t-test and especially for  S/C was analyzed using Mann Whitney (non-parametric). The results of this research showed no significant difference (p>0.05) on CR, S/C, CvR and CI between Limousin and Simmental cross cows. Meanwhile, there were significant difference (p<0.05) on DO and FS between Limousin and Simmental cross cows. The conclusion of this research was CR, S/C, CVR and CI of  Limousin cross cows were as good as those of the Simmental cross cows. Meanwhile DO and FS of Limousin cross were better than those of the Simmental cross cows.
