Abstract :

Blood parameters play an important role in diagnosing disease. Basic blood parameters of kacang goats in Indonesia have not been thoroughly researched. This research aimed to determine blood parameters of kacang goats in Mojosarirejo village Driyorejo Gresik. Blood sample were taken from 7 male kacang goats and 8 female kacang goats at traditional farm in Mojosarirejo village Driyorejo Gresik, continued with examination of hemoglobin (Hb), PCV, eritrocyte, leucocyte and differential counting (eosinophil, basophil, stab, segmen, limphocyte dan monocyte). Blood examination showed no significant difference on some given parameters of male and female kambing kacang (p = 0,523), but there was significant different on eritrocyte of male and female kambing kacang (r = 0,814, p = 0,000). Hb had negative correlation with basophil (r = - 0,664, p = 0,007), while eosinophil correlated with monocyte (r = 0,567, p = 0,027). Limphocyte had negative correlation with segmen (r = - 0,979, p = 0,000) and monocyte (r = 0,630, p = 0,010). Monocyte had negative correlation with segmen (r = - 610, p = 0,018). Result shows hematology value of kacang goats in Mojosari village Driyorejo Gresik within normal range of goat hematology value found in literatures. There was no difference on hematology value in male and female kacang goats
