Abstract :
This experiment was designed to show the resistance of coagulase-positive Staphylococcus fromcanine pyoderma by sensitivity test by using non beta lactam antibiotics. This research was anexploratory laboratory study using non probability purposive sampling type. Preparation of pureculture were confirmed by MSA, catalase and coagulase test. Sample was taken from 1 dog which haslesions of canine pyoderma. Swab sample of pus was cultured in MSA and observed the growingcolony which did not ferment mannitolt, and the result of catalase and coagulase test were positive. The isolate was suspect as Staphylococcus intermedius. Isolate was tested by non beta-lactamantibiotics using disc diffusion method by Kirby-Bauer. The result of this study showed that isolate ofcoagulase-positive Staphylococcus resistant to non beta-lactam antibiotics.
