Abstract :

The aims of this study is to determine the effectiveness of res rose (Rosa damascena Mill) as an anticeptic for chronic stomatitis treatment of Python reticulatus. A total of twenty Python reticulatus were used as animal model divided into five groups (n=4) as P0, P1, P2, P3, P4. P0 as control group notmanipulated to chronic stomatitis and not treated with extract of Rosa damascena Mill. Meanwhile P1, P2,P3, P4 were manipulated to chronic stomatitis and treated topically with extract of red rose (Rosa damascena Mill) with 0%, 12.5%, 25%, and 50% dose respectively. Treatment was given every day for twenty days. Attwenty first os day all animal were sacrified for Histopathological examination. The data obtained were analyzed with Kruskal Wallis test. The result showed that there were significant differential between treatment groups and extract of Rosa damascena Mill with 25% dose proved the most effective dose and significantly different compared to the others.
