Abstract :

The object of this study was to prove antinociceptive activity of p-methoxycinnamic acid and m-methoxycinnamic acid by writhing test method and their in silico test againts cyclooxygenase (COX-1 PDB ID = 1PTH; COX-2 PDB ID = 1CX2) using Molegro computer programme ver 5.5. The results showed that both of test compounts have antinociceptive activity which are dose dependent. The antinociceptive potential of the both compounds are higher than acetyl salicylic acid. The results of in silico test showed affinity of APMS and AMMS against COX-1 and COX-2 are better than acetyl salicylic acid.
