Abstract :

The purpose of this study is to develop a simple method for organochlorine and orfanophosphate residues determination in carrot. Residues are separated from carrot samples using QuEChERS kit for extraction method. Determination of the pesticides was performed by gas chromatography with mass spectrometry detector. Recovery studies were performed at 0.02 mg/kg fortification level of each compound and the recoveries obtained ranged 66.29 to 111.60% with coefficient of variation values of 2.12-20.88 %. The method showed good linearity over the range assayed 0.7-7.0 µg/mL and the detection and quantification limits for organochlorine studied varied, 0.21-0.24 µg/mL to 0.612-0.74 µg/mL. This method showed satisfactory extraction efficiencies combined with simplicity of use and low solvent consumption. Therefore this method is suitable for routine analysis of triadimefon in cabbage
