Abstract :
Implant method in Family Planning (FP Implant) is one of the Long Term Effective Contraception (LTEC) methods which is hormonalin nature, wrapped in capsules and put underneath epidermal skin for reproductive women to prevent pregnancy. From the three LTEC types(IUD, MOW and implant), implant is the highest incidence of drop-out (DO) rate. This research aims to studying dominant factors influencing IAU drop-out rate at Krian District of Sidoarjo Regency. The specific purposeare to giving inputs, improvements, evaluation especially to the National Coordination Board of Family Planning with a sole purpose ofimproving Implant FP service quality. This was an observational research using a survey method, and conducted cross-sectionally. The research location was the Krian Districtwith 82 samples consisted of 45 IAU and 37 Implant DO chosen by a simple random sampling. A double-regression logistic test was used tofind the dominant influence of independent on dependent variables with 10% deg ree of error ( = 0.1).The result showed that there was one predisposing factor significantly influenced the Implant DO rate namely the implant compatibility/suitability with the physical condition of the active user. Those who felt comfortabel with implant had a smaller possibility to drop-out comparedto those who were uncomfortabel with (OR = 0.123; CI = 0.9). The enabling factor on the Implant DO was family, friend or informal leaders’support (OR = 9.264; CI = 0.9). It revealed that an IAU without support from family, friend or informal leaders had 9 times opportunity todrop-out. The reinforcing factor which significantly influenced Implant DO was the provider medical-technical competency. Those who weresatisfied with the provider medical-technical competency had a small possibility to d rop-out (OR = 0.158; CI = 0.9).
