Abstract :
As a country, Indonesia has the so-called border states of Indonesia as its sovereign boundaries. Border is an area that is prone to conflict and allusionsand political security for neighboring countries. In last couple of years (2002 -2012) there were three boundary problems between Indonesia and Malaysia, the problems that led to tensions between the two countries. On the other hand,border issues between Indonesia and PNG that affect the bilateral relations of the two countries are not well recorded. Historically, OPM separatist movements were once recorded to pose a threat to the security of Indonesia. Threats are increasing especially when OPM uses cross-border access in the Indonesia - PNG borders. This study focuses on how the Indonesian border policy posture seen from the border case of Indonesia - Papua New Guinea.
