Abstract :

ABSTRACT Menopause, a variety of physical and psychological complaints are often experienced by women. Osteoporosis disease tends to be higher in women with postmenopausal faster. The results of a preliminary study in Wonokusumo Semampir Surabaya found in 10 women experience menopause at age faster than the average age of menopause (less than 46 years) of 4 of them said late age of first menstrual (14 years and over), while 6 people said the age of first menstrual normal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of age of menarche, age of last birth, and parity of the age of menopause in Wonokusumo Semampir Surabaya. This research uses a cross sectional method. The study involved 107 postmenopausal women that were selected using cluster random sampling. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that age of menarche (p-value=0,030) and age of last birth (p-value=0,002) was significant. In this study it can be concluded that the age of menarche and age of last birth has an influence on the age of menopause. The results of the study if it can be used to predict the age of menopause in Wonokusumo Semampir Surabaya, so it can be done early efforts towards women before they enter menopause.
