Abstract :

Degenerative diseases can be caused by the uses of drugs that trigger the occurrence of heart failure, one of which is isoproterenol. Melatonin (N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine) in green algae has an effect on the heart cardioprotector and antioxidant.The study was designed to evaluated effect ethanolic extract of green algae to anti-apoptotic effect in myocardial cells of rats isoproterenol-induced.  Ethanol extract of Ulva lactuca to be given to the mice made acute myocardial infarction by administering isoproterenol dose of 85mg/kgBW. Wistar male rats were divided into 4 groups: group I: healthy kontrol group, Group II: isoproterenol group, Group III: Group isoproterenol + extract dose of 200mg/kg weight loss, Group IV: Group isoproterenol + extract dose of 400 mg/kgBW. Furthermore rat heart was taken and made cuts through the left ventricle. The mechanism of apoptosis was analyzed by immunohistochemistry test to see protein expressionof  Bax, Bcl-2, Caspase 3 and Caspase 9. The results showed that the ethanol extract of green algae can prevent apoptosis and increase expression of anti-apoptotic in myocardial cells of Wistar strain male rats induced isoproterenol.
