Abstract :
Neo-Ottomanism is the cultural factor constructing Turkey’s foreign policy to support Palestine and be critical against Israel. At the same time, Turkey tries to maintain its bilateral relation with Israel. Turkey becomes inconsistent with Neo-Ottomanism. Neo-Ottomanism has limited space. The limitation of NeoOttomanism is described using the theoretical framework based on the criticism of Constructivist approach in International Relations that explain that material interest becomes the limit of culture in foreign policy. Israel has significant role for Turkey’s foreign economic relation in three vital sectors: trade, investment, and tourism. Turkey’s support to Palestine and its criticism against Israel have negative impacts on Turkey-Israel economic relation.
