Kemenangan shell dalam kompetisi pasar industri energi global melalui strategi internasionalisasi joint venture dengan kompetitor

Abstract :
In the current era of globalization, internationalization has become an inevitable strategy for companies intending to keep existing and maintaining continuity of the business in the international market. Royal Dutch Shell (RDS) or Shell as one of the lead ing oil and gas companies in the world also do the internationalization strategy. One option that selected by Shell is joint venture (JV). JV of Shell's strategy was applied to make a deal with another giant oil and gas company. Exxon was chosen to deal a JV by Shell in 1997. This decision was surprising, especially since Shell was willing to gain partnership with Exxon again for Aera Energy LLC Joint Venture after many failed cooperation between companies. This study then attempts to explain the reasons underlying logical decisions Shell, which for the umpteenth time to do a JV with Exxon as part of the internationalization strategy and analyze the results that have been obtained so far Shell this linked the decision.
