Abstract :
Community Based Tourism (CBT) has emerged as an alternative to the mainstream (mainstream) tourismdevelopment. This paper wants to analyze the application of CBT principles in the development of agritourism in BatuCity. Application of economic principles of CBT produces the majority of business tourism sector to absorb the localworkforce and community income derived from tourist spending (tourist expenditure). Application of social principlesof CBT in agrotourism development increase positive perceptions of individuals about the development ofagritourism, increasing community pride, the strength of social capital produces changes in the community.Application of the principle of culture of CBT in agritourism development further strengthen the local culture.Interactions that arise between tourists and generate community exchange of cultural elements in the community andtourists. Application of political principles of CBT in the agrotourism development strengthen local organizationalrole in the mechanism controlling the management of tourism resources and puts the community as decision makers.Implementation of environmental principles of CBT has produced models of the determination of the carrying capacity by locally
