Abstract :
Palm oil fronds plantations was the result of waste materials that required for animal feed forage alternatives, but the palm oil fronds itself has low nutritionfeed stuff if compared with other forage feedings. This study was used materials of palm oil fronds and xylanolitic bacteria to break the complex bonds of palm oil fronds, and then it was subsequently fermented for seven days. The treatment aims to incrase the crude protein and decrase the crude fiber, then it can be used for high-quality livestock feed. The experimental design were four treatments and five replications consist of P0, P1, P2, P3 with doses of 0%, 10%, 15%, 20%. The obtained data were analyzed statistically by analysis variant, if there was areal difference in these treatments, and then it was continued by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). the result of this study were use of xylanolitic bacteria provided significant effect on crude protein content and could reduce the crude fiber content at 20% of doses.
