Redesign general emergency life support training in dr. soetomo district hospital (approach evaluation training programme)

Abstract :

Research problem is the low percentage of the amount of training that the percentage gain value ≥ 20 was equal to 44.83% of the target was set at > 50% per year Dr. Soetomo PPGD GELS training for physician and nurses in the year 2009. The purpose of this study is to redesign PPGD GELS training courses for physician and nurses at Dr. Soetomo was based on learning evaluation programme evaluating method Kirkpatrick‘s four levels. This study is an observational study. The results of this study needed participants take the needs of the knowledge, attitudes and skills emergency basis, the gravity of specialized and integrated emergency management system. Knowledge full filled with only five items of knowledge (38.46%) and skills is only 42.86% full. But for emergency attitude rating accomplishment has been met 100%. Reaction Evaluation results are included in both categories only 21.74% (facilities, teaching materials, other support facilities) and while the category is enough 78.26% (infrastructure training). Learning Evaluation results showed significant changes in value before and after training. Behavior Evaluation results show the effect or impact of training provides positive feedback in the workplace. Result Evaluation results show the difference most of the changes is 1–2 and only 3.6–8.4%, which shows the difference in the change 0 (no change). Redesign suggested doing the research are improving the training infrastructure; commitment coach, organizer and leader of Dr. Soetomo was in support of training PPGD GELS as a safe community development efforts; conduct supervision or visitation to the participants who had received training.
