Abstract :
This study aimed to optimize the method of sample preparation for the analysis for the deltamethrin in cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) using gaschromatography with flame ionization detector (GC-FID). The optimum procedure for sample preparation used a combination solvent of n-hexane:aceton. The modified AOAC procedure was used as procedure for sample preparation. The obtained procedure meet requirement for linearity test in the range of deltamethrin concentration of 9,950-99,50 mg/L. The limit of detection (LD) and limit of quantitation (LQ) were found to be 2,189 mg/L and 6,634 mg/L respectively. Recovery was carried out by adding deltamethrin 53,18 mg/L (as final concentration) into matrix blank. The result showed that recovery from modified AOAC procedure using combination of n-hexane:aceton:acetonitril as extraction solvents was 41,9-71,80%. Where as, the procedure using combination of n-hexane:aceton as extraction solvents gained 76,19-92,01%. The precisions represented by the percentages of KV were 18,11% and 6,61% for solvents n-hexane:aeton:acetonitril and solvents n-hexane:aceton, respectively
