Abstract :
Community fishermens are the people whose live highly dependent on the natural world. Madura women have an important role in economic empowerment of the family and the citizens, especially in the coastal society. This article talks about Madura women in general and their work within the family economy activity. Madura women have the typical orientation in their life not just as a male companion but they have a part in the continuity of the family economy. There is a dualism in the coastal communities about the division of land life, male as the ruler of the sea and female as the land-based economy. The systems of economic decision which are held by female influences the dynamic employment of Madurese who are mainly coastal communities.
