Abstract :
Long bone fracture healing depends on multifactorial aspects, which are basically divided into general and local. Healing of long bone fracture naturally needs 3 to 6 and sometimes up to 9 months period, which is considered a high morbidity not only for the patient, but also for his/her family and the society in accordance of psychosocioeconomic field. The aim of this study was to know the mechanism process of immediate and repetitive loading (IREACTS) to accelerate healing process of long bone fracture. Estrogen receptor alpha (ER α) and interleukin 6 (IL6) were determined by immunohistochemistry technique and ELISA. Research samples were bone tissue and serum prepared from immediate and repetitive loading (IREACTS) compared to fracture without loading. The result showed that healing process occurred more rapidly on immediate and repetitive loading (IREACTS) compared to fracture without loading based on the expression of ER α and IL6 of bone tissues and serum. In conclusion, IREACTS induces the mechanism to achieve bone healing by the process of secondary bone healing and can be used as a method for lowering morbidity in patients with long bone fracture.
