Abstract :

Industrial workers are exposed to various health risks. One of them is heat stress. Safety and health programs in industries aim to providea comfortable condition so that all workers can do their jobs safel y, healthily, and productively.To reach all those purposes, every work place in all countries need sufficient standards. One of them is the threshold limit value for heatstress by using the WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature Index).Indonesia has adopted the WBGT recommended by ACGIH (American Governmental Group of Industrial Hygienist) without a scientificmeasure to correct the content as it should be done because of the diffe rent climate and condition between Indonesia and America.This paper will give some information about above p roblems theoretically.
