Abstract :
The researchers wanted to conduct deeper research about midwife’s knowledge on Perinatal Depression.Types of research conducted is True Experimental Design with Before- After Research Design. Thepurpose of this study was to answer the research question, is Psychoeducation about Perinatal Depression effectiveto improve the Midwife’s Knowledge Perinatal Depression’s Treatment. The research was conducted on 25midwives. From the analysis of the data using Analysis of Covariance with SPSS16.0 for Windows showedthat the value of F (4,30) = 10,52, p = 0,004, it stated that there is differences between the experimentalgroup and the control group. Direction of change from pretest and posttest indicated by the comparison betweenthe pretest and posttest that is the value of B = 0,443, the value of B pretest is positive. Namely providingPsychoeducation about Perinatal Depression is an effective way to improve their knowledge in the treatment ofPerinatal Depression.
