Abstract :
This researchs purpose is to learn the relationship between emotional labor process and employeewellbeing in nurses. Emotional labor process in this research is defined as regulation process ofemotion and expression of each individual at work which is appropriate according to the employer,including surface acting and deep acting (Grandey, 2000). Employee wellbeing mentioned is Warrsconcept (1979; 1990). This concept stated that employee wellbeing consists of two components.They are affective and cognitive. Cognitive component reflects employees satisfaction of doing theirtasks; while affective component is the emotions they feel when they are doing their tasks. Thisresearch is done on 45 nurses in Bhayangkara Hospital in Surabaya. The research resulted in 0.539point in the correlation between emotional labor process and employee wellbeing, and 0.00 insignificance. In conclusion, there are significant correlations between emotional labor process andemployee wellbeing.
