Abstract :

This research aimed to assess: (1) whether meaningful learning and creativity has a significance contribution in academic achievement among students in SMA Negeri Jakarta 38 and 39; and (2) how far meaningful learning and creativity coherently stimulated academic achievement among students in SMA Negeri Jakarta 38 and 39. The founded contribution will guess other factors that contributed to academic achievement among students in SMA Negeri Jakarta 38 and 39, beside meaningful learning and creativity. The type of this research was expose facto. The subjects were students from SMA Negeri Jakarta 38 and 39. Both of them were school that classified on average level according to research that done by National Education Department. In that level, both school should had significant role to increase academic achievement. The result shown the contribution of meaningful learning and creativity to academic achievement had F score = 7.224 with significance score = 0.001 (P<0.05), that meant significantly contributed. So, the hypothesis that stated meaningful learning and creativity coherently contributed to academic achievement was accepted. R Square = 0.08. It meant that the contribution score was 8.3% and the 91.7% was the other factor outside meaningful learning and creativity, such as teacher quality and teacher professionalism, teaching method, school condition, school environment and etcetera
