Abstract :
This study aimed to test the effect of expressive arts therapy to improve the dimensions of psychological well-being on street children. Activities carried out by the researchers involves drawing, writing and discussion of the results of the image. This research uses experimental design pretest-posttest control group design in 12 street children who are in jaringan XYZ. Measuring tool used in this study of adaptation of psychological well-being scale 42 items by Carol Ryff (1989). Data analysis was performed by t test, using SPSS version 17.0. Data analysis shows that there are differences in psychological well-being scores between the control group (M = 98.83, SE = 5.070) and the experimental group (M = 105.50, SE = 5282) after the treatment. Based on the results showed that there was an significant increase in some dimensions of psychological well-being experiment groups, of which self-acceptance, positive relationship with others and personal growth. This is indicated that there is effect of expressive arts therapy to change dimensions of psychological well-being on street children in Jaringan XYZ.
