Abstract :
East Java is one of the sources for the occurrence of human trafficking. This research aims to find out how the perception of the subject matter of the research on the phenomenon of trafficking in the Sub District of Nglegok District and sub-district of Blitar and Malang Donomulyo and examines how to improve the psychosocial capacity as preventative measures to anticipate the occurrence of trafficking in its territory. This study used a qualitative approach. The method used was a survey. The results of this research is the perception of the public about trafficking shows the existence of a good understanding about trafficking, other forms of trafficking victims and traficking namely children and women; the factors the causes of trafficking are unidentified are family poverty, low knowledge of trafficking, family functions that are less supportive of the formation of the welfare of family members, the conditions of individuals who lack the insight and has no job skills, and cases of domestic violence which is never resolved. While the steps taken to anticipate the occurrence of cases of trafficking is increasing the family empowerment by restoring the family function properly, increase the Government's role to protect the public from the threat of trafficking and optimizing community empowerment through human activities regularly carried out at the village level.
