Abstract :

A Carp (Cyprinus carpio), Gouramy (Osphronemus gouramy) and Catfish (Clarias sp) was the most fresh water fish species which cultivated. In Carp, Gouramy and Catfish were cultivated, the disease can attack to all of fish sizes ranging from seeds,  consumption fish and brood. Disease usually attacks fish due to parasitic infection, whereas the larger size is usually because of fungus, ulcus or nodule on the eye. Identification of ectoparasite could help to know the species of ectoparasite which attack fish. Identification of ectoparasites is the one effort to prevent spread of disease carried out. The methods used in the Practice of Field Work is descriptive method of data collection techniques including primary and secondary data. Data were collected by active participation, observation, interview and literature study. The purpose of the Practice of Field Work is to know the identification of ectoparasite steps and the spesies of ectoparasite in Carp (Cyprinus carpio), Gouramy (Osphronemus gouramy) and Catfish (Clarias sp) in the Hall of Standart Experiment Fish Quarantine Quality Control And Safety of Fisheries (BUSKIPM) Jakarta Timur. Field Work practices were carried out in the Hall of Standart Experiment Fish Quarantine Quality Control And Safety of Fisheries (BUSKIPM) Jakarta Timur on January 14 to February 14, 2013. From the Field Internship was done, identification of ectoparasite steps is preparing the apparatus and material, ectoparasite inspection (macroscopic and microscopic), fixation process and ectoparasite coloring. The ectoparasites that was found on examination Cyprinus carpio, Osphronemus gouramy and Clarias sp are Dactylogyrus sp, Gyrodactylus sp, Actinocleidus sp, Diplozoon sp, Epistylis sp, Henneguya sp and Trichodina sp.
