Abstract :
Natural food is one important factor for success production Vannamei Shrimp Larvae. Because much of fatty acid and nutrition in natural food can’t replace by artificial food. Algae and Artemia for natural food unconditional needed for higher production. The purpose from field work practice is to gain an experience and skill for natural food cultivation technique (Chaetoceros muelleri, Thallassiosira sp. andArtemia spp.) that use for feed Vannamei shrimp larvae (Litopenaeus vannamei). Field work practice was held at Hatchery Vannamei Shrimp PT. Suri Tani Pemuka Banyuwangi, East Java Province on January,14th 2013 until February 14 th2013. The method used in this field work practice is descriptive method with data taking through primer data and secondary data. Data collecting done with active participation, observation, interview and literature study. From this Field Work Practice we know that there are production 2 natural foods, namedChaetoceros muelleri and Thallassiosira sp. There are 2 steps of algae production, first is indoor cultivation and second is outdoor cultivation. Indoor algae cultivation used Test Tube 15, then cultivated in Erlenmeyer 250ml, cultivated in bottle 800ml and the last is cultivation in plastic 10 liter. While for the outdoor cultivationconsist of intermediet 1 Ton and Mass cultivation 5 Ton. The manure used in this culture with f/2 guillard manure. Algae used for nauplii-MPL stage. Artemia hatching done in conicle tank 600 liter. Decapsulation process used Chlorine (CaOCL), while the hatching process added with some probiotic and nutrition for enrichment. Artemiaharvested after 24 hours cultivation with planktonnet mess size 125 and 200, then dipping in formalin for a while. Artemia given three times a day when 09.00, 15.00 and 21.00.
