Abstract :

ABSTRACT   The increasing number of Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) could be indicates the increasing number of patient. It was also related with the increasing need of nursing labour. If there is no nursing labour addition meanwhile the number of patient always increases, it means that the workload of nurse was also increase. The increasing of workload will affect its job satisfaction and performance. This was descriptive study that aimed to analyze job satisfaction and performance based on workload of nursing labour. This study used cross sectional method. There were 26 nurses as sample. Data was collected through questionnaire and time and motion study.. This study showed that respondents had an ideal objective workload (92,3%) and high objective workload (7,7%). In other hand, there were more respondents had an ideal subjective workload (88,5%) and high subjective workload (11,5%). Most respondents felt satisfy (42,31%) and had an enough extra role performance (73,08%).. This study concluded that both objective and subjective workload was moderate. This tend to make the nurse satisfy with their job and showed a good performance.   Keywords :, job satisfation, nursing labor, performance, workload
