Abstract :
Most maternal deaths occur during childbirth. Actually these deaths could be prevented with the implementation of Post-Natal Care. The research was conducted to identify the determinants of postpartum mothers related to the implementation of Post-Natal Care. This was observational study. This research was analytical study and case control. The sample are not implement Post-Natal Care mothers and mothers who carry out the Post-Natal Care in the ratio 1: 2. The independent variables of this study were the employment, education, income, age, number of children (parity), illnesses, history of previous pregnancy complication, history of previous deliveries, mother nutritional status, pregnancy interval, KB using, antenatal, delivery aid, where labor and health care coverage. The results indicate that the determinants of childbirth-related maternal Post-Natal Care is the conduct of nutritional status and health care coverage. Test by using multiple logistic regression showed that respondents with easy health care coverage possibility of carrying out Post-Natal Care 2.818 times higher than the respondents who reach difficulty health services and respondents who experienced complications are likely to carry out Post-Natal Care 4.132 times more higher than the respondents who did not experience complications.Midwives are advised to more actively make home visits and provide shelter facilities for postpartum mothers who feel difficult in reaching health care, greater emphasis on outreach to postpartum mothers who thought that they would not be at risk during postpartum and postpartum mother wich are included in the 4 Overly and 3 Too Late, it is expected the midwife is able to work together on data collecting of Post-Natal Care and for further researchers could add another variables that does not exist on the concept of research yet.
