Abstract :

This reseach was aimed to determine the potential infusum salak (Salacca zalacca) as antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The method of research used disk diffusion susceptibility test and used infusum salak (Salacca zalacca) 100%, 50%, 25% and as positive control chepalexin. The result for Staphylococcus aureus was an antibiotic chephalexin significantly different with infusum salak (Salacca zalacca) of 100% , 50%, 25%, respectively while infusum salak (Salacca zalacca) 50% and 25% was not significantly different. The result for E. coli showed chepalexin and infusum salak (Salacca zalacca) 100% have significant differences, but among infusum salak (Salacca zalacca) of 100%, 50%, and 25% have no real difference.
