It is proven by all stage of US Elections of 2008 which has many precious lessons for developing countries that is looking for the best democracy model and election system, like Indonesia. By viewing presidential candidates’ long road to the White House, and analyze it using Samuel Huntington’s, Robert Dahl’s, Afan Gaffar’s, and Alexis de Tocqueville’s opinion about democracy and elections, it could be found four lessons for Indonesia.
