Abstract :
This article explores the role of Paul Wolfowitz as the architect in the decision making process of the US invasion of Iraq on 20 March 2003. Using the theory of rational decision making and political elites as its analytical framework, it is hypothesised that Wolfowitz had a big role. He was able to maximize his position as the Deputy Secretary of Defense which eventually was supported by other political elites. Meta-epistemology approach was used to explain Wolfowitz as an independent subject who could be influenced by social construction around him, including President Bush’s elite government and neo-conservative circles.
