Sumbangan perspektif gramscian dalam memahami gerakan globalisasi alternatif

Abstract :
This article describes contribution Gramscian perspective in understanding alternative globalization movement. Primary concept and argument of Gramscian can be used as theoretical framework to explain opponent wave on globalization. Gramsci’s terminologies such as hegemony, civil society, war of position, and organic crisis are used to analyze alternative globalization movement. Based on those terminologies, it can be understood that turning wave of globalization as a part of global civil society that using its power to counter hegemony. Alternative globalization movement is a victim entity of economic globalization that tends to take midlle way by shaping alternative world order that more equal and fair. The success of this movement depends on effectiveness in using internet. That’s why, it doesn’t oppose globalization fully.
