Kelangsungan industri shale oil amerika serikat di tengah tekanan harga minyak dunia 2014-2015

Abstract :
United States of America experienced a shale oil boom in 2011 and its oil production keeps increasing eversince. This increase resulted in the abundance of oil supply in global market which then lowered the global oir price. Despite the under proft condition, US shale oil industry was in fact still survived. This article explains about the reasons behind the survivality of US shale oil industry in 2014-2015. Using shale oil industry’s special characteristics and Keynes’ theory on aggregate demand, it is found that US shale oil industry survived because it applied technological innovation which increase production effciency in both productivity and production cost. Moreover, US shale oil industry was intervened by US government.
