Abstract :
The aim of this research is to explain and analysis factors behind marriage arrangement process in Arab community in Ampel and forms of violence towards Arab’s female during marriage at different ancestors arrangement. Behind in psychological and social impact on female who experience violence.The research method are observation and indepth interview with informants and 20 respondents with experience related to the focus of the study. And then data analysis: data are classified and defined based on pattern, theme and sub theme. The research reveals that (1) Factors behind marriage arrangement process are based on; a) similarity in ancestor, b) marriage process, c) religion rituals. Yet, for youngsters, they do not considered this in marriage. Therefore, there are many mix marriages that mostly related to socio-economic status and physical mobility. (2) There are three types of violence towards mix marriage, they are physical, psychological and economical violence. This violence is based on power and control owned by parents and relatives. It refers to patriarchal view that males decide rules, norms and ideologies (3) The three types of violence have psychological and social impacts for female as the victim.
