Abstract :

This research is made to understand the relation between perceive organizational support and work engagement on Private High School teachers in Surabaya. Perception on organization support is acted as trustworthyness from the employee that the organization appreciate their contribution and prosperity. Work engagement is an individual mental state that related to its positive and fullness that mark with vigor, dedication, and absorption work. The subject of this research is Private High School teachers currently stationed in Surabaya with 165 starting sample and then filtered based of data comprehensiveness into 128 people. Subjects consist of 92 females an 36 males. Data collector device that being used is two translating device, which is Utrecht Work Engagement Scale from Schaufelli, et.all (2002) for work engagement and Perceive Organizational Support scale from Rhoedes and Eisenberger (1989), for perceive organizational support. Data analysis is done with nonparametric correlation technique with help of IBM SPSS Statistic 20 program. The outcome of data analysis in this research using Spearman correlation indicate that perceive on organizational support and work engagement have low positive correlation, r = 0,237, n + 128, p < 0,05. This mean that perceive organizatinal support and work engagement have a great connection in an individual work.
