Abstract :

This research aims to examine the dynamics of posttraumatic growth emergence on women with breast cancer after mastectomy in early adulthood. The research methodology used qualitative approach with instrumental case study. The data collection technique is interview with general guidelines. The study subjects were three early adult women 20-40 years old. Result revealed that all three subjects demonstrated positive change toward a higher level of change in perception, relation with others, and change in philosophy of life. Change in philosophy of life was found to be the most dominant dimension. In the process of posttraumatic growth emergence, all subjects had successfully gone through contemplation and self-disclosure stages. According to the process, change in philosophy of life became the most principal dimension in the emergence of posttraumatic growth.
