Abstract :
Suryabrata (2007:233) mention that student achievement grades influenced by some factors, such as student psychological factors and student social circles factors. Lee, et, al (1999:15) also mentioned that perceived strong social support makes the students learn harder than others. This research aim to answer the question of correlation between Student’s perception of Parents social support and high school’s student academic achievement ini Surabaya. This research use a quantitative method. The type of the research is explanatory research. The independent variable (x) is student perception of parent’s social support and the dependent variable (Y) is student academic achievement. Population for this research are senior high school student grade 10th for year 2012/2013 in Surabaya with total score IQ average (C) and lived with both of their parent. Random sampling technique is used in this research.There is 205 sample in this research. This questionare have been through the validity and reliability test. Researcher use the spearman rank correlation analyzis by the help of SPSS 20.00 version for windows. By the analyzis, the researcher found the corealtion coefficient score 0,13 and significancy(2-tailed) 0,64 so that Ho acceptable. The conclusion for this research is there is no correlation between between Student’s perception of Parents social support and high school’s student academic achievement ini Surabaya
