Abstract :

This research was intended to found out if there is any relationship between emotional intelligence and Vandalism in male adolescents that involve in Vandalism at SMK 'B' Jakarta. Emotional itelligence revealed by Salovey and Mayer (1997) while the juvenille delliquincies mentioned by Jensen (1992). This research was applied to 44 male adolescents, between the age of 15-18 years old, involved in vandalisme between schools and currently studying in SMK 'B' Jakarta. Respondents are male. quessionares was used in this reseach. Emotional intelligence scale that are being used in this research MSCEIT from the research of schutte, mal-ouff, and bhullar (2009) reliability score is 0.924 and for the vandalism scale was contructed by researcher with the reliability score of 0.917. Data analysis used is parametric statistic with Pearson correlation test using SPSS 16.0 program from windows. The result reveals that emotional intelligence correlates with juvenille deliquincies. The correlations coefficient between two variables is 0.702 with the significants of 0.000. This proves that the results denied the zero hypothesis and accepted the alternate hypothesis. This result showed negatif relations between emotional intelligence and Vandalism in male adolescents that involve in Vandalism at SMK 'B' Jakarta.
