Abstract :
This study aims to determine the relationship between students' perceptions of teacher’s pedagogic competence, personality competence, and social competence with student achievement motivation in accelerated classes. The study was conducted on student acceleration in SMA I Gresik the number of study subjects were 17 students, which consisted of 9 boys and 8 girls in the first grade students. Measuring instruments used in the form of questionnaire data over the students' perceptions of teacher’s pedagogic competence, personality competence, and social competence which consists of 65 items and measures achievement-motivation which consists of 20-point declaration prepared by the author. Data analysis was performed with the statistical technique of Pearson product moment correlation, using the statistical program SPSS version 21. From the analysis of the research data obtained correlation between students' perceptions of teacher’s pedagogic competence, personality competence, and social competence and achievement motivation of teachers for 0,579. This suggests that there was a relationship between students' perceptions of competence of teachers with student achievement-motivation. The positive direction in significance shows if student's perceptions of the teacher's competence is high, it will make student's achievement motivation also high.
