Abstract :

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between emotional intelligence with Mothers Acceptance of child with cerebral palsy. The study was conducted in YPAC Surabaya with mothers of children with cerebral palsy as the subject of as many as 31 people . Means of collecting data in this study of emotional intelligence questionnaire which refers to the measurement tools of emotional intelligence developed by Robert K Cooper and Ayman Syawaf which consists of 40 items ; measuring mothers acceptance, refers to the Porter Parental Acceptance Sale ( PPAS ) compiled by Blaine M Porter (1954 ) composed of 40 items . Analysis of the data using statistical techniques of Pearson product moment correlation , with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 18 program. Based on the correlation test , a score ( r) of 0.673 with ( p ) of 0.000 , which means that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and maternal acceptance . This suggests that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted.
