Abstract :
This study aim to describe Honey and Mumford’s learning style in junior high school and senior high school in Surabaya studied from sociodemographic factors. Those factors are gender, employee status, sertification status, school genre, how long teacher teach, teacher’s education background, school level and subjects. The subjects who participated on this reseach were 375 junior and senior high school’s teacher in Surabaya. Collecting data using survey method and served in quanitative descriptive. This research using Honey and Mumford Learning Style Questionnaire which translated into Indonesian. Data analysis using descriptive analysis and cross tabulation. This research also using SPSS 16 for Windows to process the data. This research found that Theorist learning style were strong in almost all sociodemographic factors. Pragmatist learning style was found least of all. The interesting thing in this research were when learning style studied from gender and teacher’s education background. There was gender steorotypes and the aim in each teacher’s education background level. learning style
