Abstract :

Abstract: Adolescent problems related cases of sexual perversion and drug abuse in Indonesia continues to increase. It is about 75% of the 3.2 million drug users are teenagers. Whereas, 84 of the adolescent respondents had experienced unwanted pregnancy, 60% of whom have an abortion. This condition also threat adolescents in the prostitution area of Dolly, Surabaya. The existence of Dolly contributes 71% towards premarital adolescent sexual behavior. Adolescent reproductive health problems caused by adolescent complaints for information and reproductive health services, which has not fulfilled optimally until now. Adolescent will try to find the information themselves, either by their peers or the media that there is no guarantee of the truth. Adolescents need an empowerment programs to get the correct information, have a good attitude and responsible behavior on the reproductive health. We empower the adolescents by create a group of reproductive health peer educators. We develop the program based on the theoretical PRECEDE-PROCEED as a frame work of the development for health education. The program increases peer educators’ knowledge on sexual perversion and drug abuse. Based on statistical analysis wilcoxon signed rank test, the significance value of increasing knowledge is 0,002 (p < 0,05) with significance level α = 0,05. It also stimulates the establishment of youth center named by KOMPAS. Key factor of the success program is the involvement of empowerment subjects in each decision-making process to increase their internal motivation. Therefore, the program become their necessity.
