Abstract :

Industry lately flour is hing require workers to remain productive. One factor to increase productivity is to use a background music work. This study was conducted to analyze the differences before and after the administration of the background music work in labor productivity Cigarette Factory of Gagak Hitam Bondowoso. The Experiment was conducted with repeated treatment design or one group pre and post-test design conducted longitudinally. Giving the questionnaire was given to 80 women workers. Respondents were drawn from a population by simple random sampling. Questionnaire was conducted to gain a more in-depth information about the variables studied. The independent variables were the type of music that workers like, age, breakfast habit, health complaints, and hearing conditions. Increased productivity of giving background music work in this study was 8.4%. This test used paired t-test showed that there were differences in productivity before and after the administration of background music work (dangdut music) is (p = 0.097). The conclusion that can be drawn is that dangdut used in the study and the effect on productivity is kind of dangdut music. Giving music can affect productivity improvement. However, it needs another research about the influence of background music work in another workplace.   Keywords: types of music, productivity, cigarette women workers
