Abstract :
This study aims to understand the quality of the practices of the use of leisure time of young generation in Surabaya based on their practical reasoning. The focus of this study was formulated to find out what forms of use of leisure time and how their reflexivity towards leisure time in ethnomethodological. The analysis was conducted based on the ethnomethodological assumptions. Concepts such as free time, youth and popular culture thus also colored in ethnometodology somewhat different from those explanations exist for this. The theoretical explanation also engage the concept of "detraumatisasi" by Francisco Budi Hardiman and "simulation" P. Jean Baudrillard.
The themes that surfaced in the context of the forms of use of leisure time among other activities related to popular culture such as listening music, shopping, watching television and movies, reading print and online news, dating, and even sleeping. The mention here clearly reduced the meanings constructed by the members, where it is explored in their accountability. While spare time reflexivity of the members reflected through the assumption that involved in this study (participating in the interview process) is also the use of leisure time, aside frommap out their respective meaning of the definitions of free time and the importance of free time for them.
In turn, this research shows that the main reflexivity of the members disolilokuikan as "forgetting at the same time considering the free time" which is then conceptualized as a continuous detraumatisasi simulation.
