Abstract :

This study examines the citations contained in the final work of the PPDS-I Faculty of Medicine Airlangga University- Dr. Soetomo Hospital in 2012 and 2013. The background of the author to undertake this study is the existence of a fact that the analysis of quotations that be part of bibliometric basically used not only to assess the scientific communication between scientists as outlined in the cited activity, but also to determine the extent to which contribution to the development of science scientist shelter. Moreover, for the development of scientific medicine very big influence on fluctuations in health. Therefore, the authors wanted to know how quotations may be used by students PPDS as a reference in the preparation of the final work. This study uses quantitative methods with evaluative bibliometric approach, especially citation analysis. The results obtained are: (i) 420 final work, it is known that the pattern of citation is the total number of quotations may reach 21 081 citation is the work of others, so there is no autocitation, (ii) the characteristics of the literature citation of this final work is likely to use the primary literature , particularly the journal of 64.5%. Title journals most frequently cited is the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology that as many as 243 citations, more citing literature in English with the percentage reached 90%, and the age of the cited literature is still relatively young because mayoritan are at the age period of 0 to 10 year, which amounted to 65.10%. (iii) the authorship pattern shows Sudigdo Sastroasmoro is the most frequently cited authors, as many as 61 times, (iv) half-life literature fastest is Andrology department, which is 4 years old and the oldest was Urology, ie 15 years. With the majority of the half-life levels that have not yet reached the point of this worn shows that students of PPDS-I Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University- Dr. Soetomo Hospital in 2012 and 2013 have contributed to the development of science, especially in the various fields of medicine specialist who overshadowed them
