Abstract :

This research uses descriptive quantitative method, the number of members KBM 102 respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews guided free. Results of the study are: 1) Seeking information behavior KBM members conduct initial activities to determine the theme / idea to write, 2) Most members of KBM conducting backward chaining to develop the story of the information obtained, 3)The members of KBM tend searching resources using the resources of the website reliable, 4)Conducting monitoring to see the actualization of the data on the website reliable,  5) Conducting Accessing to regularly keep abreast of information through newspapers, television, etc,  6) Conducting differentiating with reference to the source of the information obtained is expected to more detailed information and clear, 7) Conducting extracting by reading the detailed information obtained directly or indirectly, 8) Activity verifying by looking at the bibliography, 9) networking activities carried out by each giving commentary on the work of other members to cultivate friendships that occurred in the KBM, 10) The activities of information managing by grouping into several documents, so it is easy in the process of retrieval source information that has been obtained. Therefore in ten stages in the discovery of behavioral information that is found to produce the highest value on the starting activity is to determine the theme / idea to write as much as 78.4% and managing information activities as much as 81.8%.
