Abstract :

Spirulina plantesis microalgae is one that produces a variety of high-value bioactive compounds that are used as additives in food and feed for fish, this is because the content of some substances in it exist proteins, minerals, vitamin B12, carotenoid, essential fatty acids such as γ -linolenic acid. Carotenoids are one of the content contained in Spirulina platensis and has many functions such as antioxidant, anti-carcinogenic substances and others. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different doses of waste liquid hearing fish fertilizer for Spirulina plantesis’s carotenoid content and to determine the optimal dose of waste liquid hearing fish fertilizer on the carotenoid content in Spirulina plantesis. This research method is experimental, while the design of the study is a Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) with 7 treatments and 4 replications. The main parameters in this research that the carotenoid content, while supporting parameters in this study consisted of: growth medium S.platensis and water quality medium culture. The results suggest that dose of liquid fertilizer from hearing fish waste that produces the highest carotenoid is C treatment (0.75 ml/L) witj 0.5459 mg/ml in density. However, the best dose in this research for S.platensis growth is A treatment (0.25 ml/L) with 63.85x104 unit/ml in density. The highest growth occurred in seventh day (peak density). It’s  mean that this time is the best time to harvesting of S.platensis cultured. Based on it carotenoid content and sell density.
