Abstract :

Sometimes there’s a difficulty on treatment someone suffering from illness by refusing medical treatment because of anxiety by the pain possibility during treated. In these cases, it will be better for physicians include the dentists have knowledges about how to hold and ability to convinence that medical treatment is not as horrible as their imagination. Hypnotherapy is a medical treatment based on the inner cooperation ans trusting between someone need medical treatment (patient, client) and a person who takes care of him (therapist). The principle of hypnotherapy is making someone’s conscious mind to be a lower level known as subconscious condition by induction and then suggest that there will be no pain during and after treatment. The role of hypnotherapy on the management of pain is the same way and not different with medical treatment, by stimulating Central and Autonomic Nervous System to release chemical mediator and inhibits the act of neurotransmitter.
