Perbedaan latihan fisik jangka pendek dan jangka panjang terhadap glukosa darah pada penderita diabetes mellitus

Abstract :

The purpose of the research was to know about effect of short and long physical exercise to blood glucose of diabetic mellitus patient. This research use pretest-posttest control group design, two groups, and every group consist of nine samples. Sample is male, 40-60 years old, have fasting blood glucose > 126 & post pandrial blood glucose > 140, and there was no contraindication (cardiac disease). This examination was doing at RSUD Mataram. Treatment for the first group is : taken fasting blood; then eating rice/bread depend body weight (normal : 30 cal/Kg BW; obesity : 10-15 cal/Kg BW; under : 40-60 cal/Kg BW); after 1.35’ then warming up (5 minutes) and continued with moderate intensity of physical exercise (70% heart rate) (working on the treat mill) during 20 minutes, frequency once and no drug be consumption, and then taken blood glucose as pretest data. Treatment for the second group same with first group, the different are : frequency of exercise is third during one week; at the last day sample must fasting (24.00-08.00 pm); after doing exercise, sample given drug; taken of blood glucose do when fasting, 2 hours post pandrial and 2 hours post pandrial after exercise. Statistic analyze are : descriptive statistic, normality distribution statistic, homogenity analyze and one way ANOVA. The result is short and long physical exercise can decrease blood glucose (p = 0.002), and the long physical exercise is better.
