Abstract :
The experiment was carried out in the glasshouse of Vegetable Research Center (BALITSA) in Lembang Bandung using 30x40 cm of poly bag. A completely randomized design was applied in this experiment with 2 factors. First factor was biofertilizer comprised two different treatments: without (H0) and with (H1) biofertilizer. Biofertilizer applied in this treatment was composite bacteria of Azospirillum, Azotobacter, Pseudomonas, and Bacillus selected by the Laboratory of Microbiology, Department of Biology, Bogor Agricultural University 1 and 3 weeks after planting with the dosage of 2x107 and 3x107 respectively. The second factor was nutrition source with four levels including without any fertilizer (N0), with 100% dosage of NPK fertilizer (N1), with 10 tons/Ha manure (N2), and with combination of 50% NPK fertilizer and 505 of manure (N3). The result indicated that application of biofertilizer as well as nutrition factors significantly increased the level of macro and micronutrient absorption, growth and yield of potato and tomato crops. Biofertilizer application improved macronutrient absorption about 23-60% in potato crop, while in tomato absorption improvement of N, P and K was 16-67% but not Ca and Mg. In both crops, biofertilizer was able to increased absorption 14-31% of Fe and Cu. However, application of biofertilizer without addition of nutrient source was generally not able to improve nutrient absorption, growth and yield. The application of biofertilizer together with combination of 50% of manure and NPK fertilizer resulted in maximum yield of potato and tomato. In potato application of biofertilizer was able to improve the tuber size and reduce tuber rot.
